Crystal Cruises has revived its standby program, first unveiled in 1999. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience Crystal, one of the most luxurious and deluxe cruise companies. Here is how standby works: You register for the Program with a $500.00pp deposit and request a European or Alaska destination, 59 through 30 days prior to sailing you will be offered a date and an offer to participate in the Crystal air program. If you do not like the offer you can decline and your deposit is returned. This program represents a 50%-51% reduction on the normal Crystal fares. For example, the normal Alaska tariff is $4,720.00pp and the standby fare is $2,295.00pp. Europe normally is $7,390.00pp and standby is $3,695.00pp. Both European and Alaska itineraries are 12 days in length. Dates in Europe are: June 14th, 26th and August 26th, Alaska: June 2nd and 14th.
